Substantial Energy Savings for Commercial Customers
EPA / MEMO (EPA) is an Energy Management Consulting firm. Our mission is to lower our clients’ energy cost through astute product pricing (rate) and by implementing strategies which lead to reductions in energy consumption. Ultimately, the cheapest and greenest energy is the energy you do not use. Our business model in New York, New Jersey and all deregulated energy markets in the U.S. addresses the needs of commercial customers and covers three primary areas:
Energy Rate Reduction
EPA / MEMO is a representative of the major Energy Service Companies (ESCO) who provide alternative energy in New York, New Jersey and 15 other deregulated states. EPA negotiates with authorized ESCOs in order to secure the most competitive price for our clients’ energy supply.
- In order to obtain an energy quote, we require a copy of the client’s most recent utility bill along with a signed copy of a Usage Letter of Authorization (LOA). This LOA has no cost and requires no obligation. It simply authorizes the ESCOs to obtain the clients’ usage data from the local utility so that a detailed quotation can be prepared.
- We then prepare a Cost Comparison Analysis showing what the prospect has been paying and what his costs would be by enrolling with an ESCO. Typical average savings are in the 20% to 30% range.
- Enrollment is accomplished by signing a single-page LOA which authorizes EPA to move the client’s usage to the ESCO with the best product and rate.
Solar PV Project Development
To allow our clients to take full advantage of photovoltaic (PV) system facilitation programs in New York, New Jersey and other deregulated energy markets in the U.S., MC Solar Development (MCSD) acts as a Solar Project Developer. MC Solar Development provides project management, financing options and potential ownership of a PV system through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). By working with MEMO, clients can benefit from a PV system by receiving a substantial discount on their facility's electric bill with no out-of-pocket expense. If the facility requires a new roof, one might be paid for through third party ownership / financing, as well.
Energy Consumption Reduction
Once a prospect has become our ESCO customer through EPA, MEMO will perform a no-cost, no-obligation survey of the client's facility. We prepare an outline showing the potential energy savings, the cost of project implementation and the amount of State rebates that they may be eligible for. As an approved partner with the Pay for Performance Program, EPA is able to obtain incentives that can be up to 50% of the cost of the scope of work conditioned, simply by reducing the Customer's energy usage by at least 15%.
